The Educational Grants Advisory Service (EGAS) offers guidance and
advice on funding for those studying in post-16 education in the UK.
EGAS operates nationally providing comprehensive advice and information
on sources of funding available for post-16 education and training including
loans, grants, benefits, access funds, hardship funds, bursaries and charitable
trusts.
Services are provided free to individual students. Organisations involved
in the education field can affiliate to
EGAS.
EGAS publishes a Guide To
Student Funding which is available on our website.
EGAS specialises in charitable Trust Funding,
and maintains a database of trusts and charities that assist students.
We also administer over 30 educational trusts ourselves, giving small
grants primarily to students who study at institutions that are affiliated
to our service.
EGAS is part of the Family
Welfare Association (FWA) which was formed in 1869 and which provides
support to some of the poorest families in the community.
